Presented by: Portland Symphonic Choir About: The Portland Streetcar Lowell Opening invites the public to celebrate the Streetcar expansion of service for one of the most popular rail projects in the nation. The new extension to S.W. Lowell, with connections to the Portland Aerial Tram, provides an opportunity to showcase our important communities along the Streetcar line. Ring in the Streetcar on Friday with the grand opening ceremony showcasing a diverse array of dignitaries to commemorate Portland's commitment to livability through mass transit also with live entertainment provided by 3 Leg Torso and Valerie Day. Official start-up of Lowel extension operations into the South Waterfront District commences at 11:00 a.m. HOURS: Friday, 11:00 a.m., Ringing in the Streetcar Friday - Sunday, free Streetcar rides Saturday and Sunday, free Tram rides PHONE: 503.478.6404 ADMISSION/TICKETS: Free of charge
