Portland Baroque Orchestra: Handel's Messiah Complete - Portland Baroque Orchestra Handel's Messiah is one of the only pieces of Baroque music that has been performed continuously since its composition, and 2009 marks the 250th anniversary of the composer's death. Robert Ainsley, conductor of Portland Opera's groundbreaking production of La Calisto that featured PBO, directs this year's Messiah.
