Experience New Moon - Experience Twilight
Thursday November 19th Saint Helens, Oregon is home to the Twilight saga again. A four-day movie release party, Experience New Moon kicks off with a VIP party at the Columbia Theater at 212 S 1st Street in St. Helens.

Fans can spend the weekend with other Twilight fans in the original movie locations. Some of the more notable scenes from the movie … the Swan house, Bella and Edward's first date, the bookstore and dress shop in Port Angeles… were filmed in Saint Helens. A scene of Edward playing piano for Bella and a Forks High School office scene were also filmed in Saint Helens. The main street of Vernonia was downtown Forks, WA and also home to the Forks Police Station.

Portland Art Museum presents 24 City - Portland Art Museum
This film is presented in conjunction with the China Design Now exhibit at the Portland Art Museum. Zhang Ke’s cameras capture the last days of a storied airplane factory in Chengdu, Sichuan, by zeroing in on the people who used to work there—and the people who will move into the new apartments that will take its place—making palpable both irretrievable loss and irresistible progress.

Portland Art Museum presents Manufactured Landscapes - Portland Art Museum
This film is presented in conjunction with the China Design Now exhibit at the Portland Art Museum. Internationally acclaimed for his large-scale photographs of “manufactured landscapes”—quarries, recycling yards, factories, mines, and dams—Edward Burtynsky creates stunningly beautiful art from civilization’s materials and debris. The film follows him through China as he shoots the evidence and effects of massive industrial revolution.

Portland Art Museum presents San Yuan Li - Portland Art Museum
This film is presented in conjunction with the China Design Now exhibit at the Portland Art Museum. The site of the 1841 Opium War that led the revolt against colonial British authority, SanYuan Li Village is a “village-amid-the-city” that is typical of the urbanization process in Guangzhou in Southern China.
Also showing "Whose Utopia?" and "Seven Intellectuals in a Bamboo Forest."
