BodyVox presents Chronos/Kairos - BodyVox The 12th season opens November 12 with Chronos/Kairos a retrospective of BodyVox work curated by artistic directors Ashley Roland and Jamey Hampton. The title reflects the pair's affinity for language as they define the show in Greek terms for time meaning chronology and timeliness. Since it's founding in 1997, BodyVox has premiered 158 new dances - Roland and Hampton will review the list and select dances from every year of the company's existence, ones that will best inhabit the BodyVox Dance Center's intimate studio performance space. Performance Works NW presents BANDAGE A KNIFE – Linda Austin Dance + Seth Nehil - Performance Works NorthWest This evening-length theatrical performance, based on a “forgetting” of Seijun Suzuki’s 1967 cult classic movie Koroshi no Rakuin (Branded to Kill), will incorporate dance movement, projected image, live and recorded sound. Austin’s distinctive choreography is matched with Nehil’s evocative musique concrete, creating a place where the grotesque and the whimsical slide into each other, overlap and become confused. EVENT DAY(S): 11/13/09 - 11/22/09

White Bird Uncaged presents Daniel Léveillé Danse - White Bird Dance Based in Montreal, Daniel Léveillé has created compelling dance admired by international critics for its power and provactive expressionism. His dancers are nude, yet his work is leaps beyond mere sensationalism. Daniel Léveillé is searching for something deeper: the elemental, unadorned purity of bodies in motion. Every movement, every pose exposes the human effort and frailty that brings motion to life as muscles flex, twist, and stretch. EVENT DAY(S): 12/02/09 - 12/06/09
