On three Saturdays in winter 2014, beer lovers will have the opportunity to sample the wares of some of the city’s best craft breweries and artisan food purveyors in special tasting sessions created in partnership with Travel Portland. Attendees will get four eight-ounce pours of a variety of beer styles and paired tastes and enjoy collaborations and commentary from top-notch Oregon producers.

Gigantic Brewing brewmaster Ben Love and award-winning cheesemonger Steve Jones from Cheese Bar will host this meet-up in the Central Eastside brewery, pairing brews with some of Steve’s favorite cheeses from around Oregon.
Logsdon Farmhouse Ales & Olympic Provisions
Feb. 22, 2-4 p.m., at The Tin Bucket
The final session in the series heads to North Williams Avenue’s hottest new beer destination, The Tin Bucket, for exquisite Belgian ales from Hood River’s Logsdon Farmhouse Ales and world-class charcuterie from Olympic Provisions.
The Commons Brewery & Woodblock Chocolate*
March 8, 2-4 p.m., at Imperial Bottle Shop
Two of Portland’s rising stars, from The Commons Brewery and Woodblock Chocolate, will bring their intense, unique flavors and fine execution to Imperial Bottle Shop, a new bottle shop on Portland’s top culinary destination, Southeast Division Street.
For $10, attendees will experience four pairings of beer from The Commons with Woodblock’s single-origin, 70 percent cacao chocolates:
- Urban Farmhouse Ale w/ Trinidad
- Walnut (Belgian Porter) w/ Peru
- Little Brother (Belgian Dark Strong) w/ Madagascar
